Safety and ComplianceChemical Inventory ManagementOften companies maintain a nice, well organized database for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) that can be misleading because the chemical inventory has not been maintained. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards require regular updates that meet best practices for your industry, yet OSHA issues multiple citations yearly to MSDS organization that stem from chemical inventory problems. 4QR will go through your inventory and develop an organized list of chemicals with the essential information. An updated inventory can help rid you of outdated chemicals and help identify partial, improperly stored, damaged or leaking containers that can then be reduced, removed, or disposed. Once a chemical inventory is updated, 4QR can help jumpstart your program for storing chemicals and maintaining a well organized database that can be easily reviewed on an annual basis. Facility Regulatory Compliance Audits 4QR’s facility regulatory compliance audits will help provide an outside perspective to policies and procedures you might miss or assume are being handled. During an audit, 4QR will identify those regulations which apply to your facility and then will ask questions regarding those regulations. We will help to identify compliance items at your facility that you think are covered, but may not be, and then verify who is doing what to maintain compliance. During our facility inspections, you can get assurance that your employees are kept safe by learning if equipment is being maintained to applicable safety standards and if containers are handled and stored in compliance with environmental and safety regulations. An audit can also help you determine your reporting requirements, provide a review of your record keeping, and check that your environmental and/or safety plans are properly updated. HazWoper Training Hazardous Waste Operator (HazWoper) Certification is directed at employees involved in hazardous waste site clean-up operations or corrective actions, such as those conducted at Environmental Protection Division (EPA) National Priority List (NPL) sites, state priority list sites, or Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action sites. We provide training sessions in pre-arranged classroom settings or at your facility. Our pre-arranged locations vary from full day or multi-day classes, where our instructor teaches directly to the student in a comfortable setting. For seminars and sessions at your own facility, we can provide flexible hours that fit in with your facility’s schedule, arrange working lunch topics, and tailor programs to meet your industry needs. Students have hands-on safety awareness training through exercises and discussions. Other related topics for training include Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, introductions to agencies such as EPA, OSHA, and RCRA, and how-to classroom courses such as fork-lift safety, personal protective equipment, preparing waste manifests, etc. Safety Training for General Industry 4QR has qualified staff that can develop your safety programs and provide training on various topics such as bloodborne pathogens, hazard communication, emergency action and fire prevention awareness, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, lock out tag out, introduction to OSHA, forklift safety, and more. Hazard Communication regulations by OSHA and EPA. Often violations are
issued for MSDS because they need to be culled for chemicals onsite, with
duplicates removed, and then organized for the benefit to employees. Employees
must be able to find products quickly in your database, at any given time.
So to meet the requirements, MSDS records need to be obtainable during
power outages, with access from the production floor, and if your records
are online or computer based, employees need to be computer literate to
access them. 4QR will help review your MSDS database to reduce duplicates
and remove outdated sheets. Once the MSDS database is updated, 4QR will
help develop a program for maintaining MSDS forms so they meet the current
requirements. |
